FRESHER'S DAY 2019
College of Hotel Management under Srinivas University organized the Fresher's Day 2019 on 10 August, 2019. The venue for the event was the College auditorium in the city campus at Pandeswar, Mangalore. The event was co-organized by the students of Srinivas College of Hotel Management (Mangalore University). The Oath taking ceremony of the Students Council for the academic year 2019-2020 was also organized in the same day.
The main aim of the celebration was to give a warm welcome to the First year students of BHMCT and B.Sc(H.M). It builds the confidence and improve creativity levels as well as active participation of the junior students in College activities. For the senior batches, it is the chance to show their planning and organizing skills in conducting the functions.
The Chief Guest of the programme was by Dr. Rajasekhar, Principal - College of Physiotherapy, Srinivas University, inaugrated the function. Prof.S.Swaminathan, Dean-in-charge, Prof. Padmanabha. K (senior faculty), Prof. Sreejith O V (Course Co-ordinator - BHMCT / B.Sc-HM) were also present during the function. Prof. Padmanabha administered the Oath for Student Council members for Srinivas University and Prof.Swaminathan volunteered the same for Mangalore University Student council.
The function was filled with different entertainment activities including dance, music, games, mime show etc. Prof. Padmanabha was felicitated by the faculty members upon his completion of twenty five years of service with Srinivas Group. Mr. Mohammed Shahir and Ms.Arya of First year BHMCT was selected as Mr &Ms Fresher. The programme was concluded with a lunch for the First year students which was prepared and served by the senior batches.
