POOKKALAM 2019


Srinivas University College of Hotel Management &Tourism and Srinivas College of Hotel Management conducted Inter Collegiate flower carpet competition POOKKALAM - 2019 on September 4, 2019. Thirty teams of various colleges from Mangalore participated in this competition. Prof. Prasanth Prabhu and Prof. Sujatha Shankar were the chief organisors of the event.

Srinivas University College of Hotel Management & Tourism, conducted a workshop for the Pre-University level students on 14 November, 2019. Students from Sharada PU College, Mangalore attended the workshop. Basic baking skills were demonstrated with the preparation of Banana bread and Peanut Butter Cookies by the participants. The workshop was organised by Mr.Chaitanya, Asst. Professor, Srinivas University College of Hotel Management & Tourism. Prof. Swaminathan, Dean - Srinivas University College of Hotel Management & Tourism, handed over the participation certificate to the students.

THIRUVONAM 2K19

Srinivas University College of Hotel Management & Tourism and Srinivas College of Hotel Management celebrated THIRUVONAM 2K19 on Setember 6, 2019. Observed by Malayalis all over the world as a religious and cultural festival, Onam commemorates the annual homecoming of the legendary King Mahabali — the grandson of Prahlada — as per Hindu scriptures. The function was inaugurated by the chief guest  Dr. P.S.Aithal, Vice-Chancellor, Srinivas University. Dr. Annayya , Chief Medical Officer - Srinivas Group and Prof. S.Swaminathan  - Dean in charge of College of Hotel Management & Tourism were also present. The winners of POOKKALAM 2K19 were awarded with the prizes during the function.The main attraction of the function was the Shingarimelam, performed by a professional group.
