Srinivas University College of Hotel Management & Tourism and Srinivas College of Hotel Management celebrated THIRUVONAM 2K19 on Setember 6, 2019. Observed by Malayalis all over the world as a religious and cultural festival, Onam commemorates the annual homecoming of the legendary King Mahabali — the grandson of Prahlada — as per Hindu scriptures. The function was inaugurated by the chief guest  Dr. P.S.Aithal, Vice-Chancellor, Srinivas University. Dr. Annayya , Chief Medical Officer - Srinivas Group and Prof. S.Swaminathan  - Dean in charge of College of Hotel Management & Tourism were also present. The winners of POOKKALAM 2K19 were awarded with the prizes during the function.The main attraction of the function was the Shingarimelam, performed by a professional group. Srinivas University College of Hotel Management &Tourism and Srinivas College of Hotel Management conducted Inter Collegiate flower carpet competition POOKKALAM - 2019 on September 4, 2019. Thirty teams of various colleges from Mangalore participated in this competition.
